Scraps were the first major project that was assigned through schooling. Each student needed to create a level to show off their level design and mechanics. Through this project, I learned concepts of level pacing and gameplay flow to keep the player engaged.

Level Planning

​Before stepping into Unity to begin creating the level, I needed to create a plan for the design for how the level would look and play through. Using images and references for warehouses, I was able to visualize the idea that I wanted to go for.  A planned path for the player's path through the level was created.

​

I needed to decide what the player would do to navigate and challenge them throughout the level. The character was provided to us and was instructed that no adjustments could be made to the character. We had to build the world around what they were able to do. I decided to utilize the Gravenull ability of the player so that they could pick up items to move objects out of the way.
